My journey into mindfulness and hypnotherapy began in 2004 when I attended a 10-day silent Vipassana meditation retreat. For about a year before that, I had been reading and studying different forms of meditation, trying to find an approach that resonated with me. Vipassana stood out because of its non-dogmatic nature—it wasn’t about imposing beliefs or forcing change. Instead, it was about observing reality as it is, without interference, much like a scientist observing an experiment. That idea resonated deeply with me. I saw meditation as a way to truly understand the inner workings of my mind—thoughts, emotions, sensations—before attempting to influence them. That retreat was a turning point. I left with a heightened awareness of the subtle energy moving through my body and how it connected to my thoughts, feelings, and actions.
At the time, I didn’t expect this practice to become my career. I pursued various paths in real estate, hospitality, and sales, but I kept returning to mindfulness and breathwork. Over the years, I expanded my studies, exploring ancient Taoist breathing techniques, Tummo breathing, and yogic pranayama. Breathwork became a powerful tool—not just for relaxation but as a way to enter deep states of awareness. Wanting to deepen my knowledge, I completed a 200-hour teacher training with Sacred Breath Academy, where I worked with shamanic-style breath patterns that allowed for profound, even psychedelic-like experiences. These experiences opened my eyes to the deeper layers of consciousness, the power of manifestation, and the unseen connections that shape our reality. It became clear that I needed to share this work with others.
As I guided people through breathwork, I noticed they were entering deep states of relaxation and receptivity—brainwave states like alpha and theta, where subconscious transformation is most effective. This realization led me to study hypnotherapy. I enrolled in the Hypnosis Motivation Institute (HMI), the first accredited college of hypnotherapy, where I completed a year-long program with supervised clinical training totaling more than 720 hours. I graduated with honors as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and continue my education through the American Hypnosis Association, staying updated with new techniques and case studies.
My training didn’t stop there. I went on to study Dolores Cannon’s Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique® (QHHT®), completing both Level 1 and Level 2 training—totaling over 200 hours of study. QHHT® allowed me to guide clients into deep hypnotic states where they could verbalize their experience while accessing profound insights, past memories, and even subconscious wisdom. Furthermore I continued my studies and integrated techniques from Tom Silver, a renowned hypnotherapist who worked closely with Ormond McGill, the “Dean of American Hypnotists.” Through studying Silver’s EEG-based hypnosis and Emotional Replacement Therapy (ERT), I’ve refined my approach to be both scientifically grounded and deeply intuitive.
Hypnotherapy is an evolving field, and I approach it with a beginner’s mindset—always learning, refining, and adapting my methods to suit each individual. Every client is unique, and my goal is to use the best tools available to create lasting change. If you feel drawn to this work, I invite you to reach out. I look forward to guiding you on your journey.
